This Sewcial Sewing day is for those who want the luxury of a day to get a project underway or finished in the company of other like minded sewists. This is not a ‘taught’ session; the atmosphere will be supportive and friendly with no set goals. We will be right next door to the Artisan Market so you can pop out and do your shopping too. You can come for the whole session, or dip in for a couple of hours.
Over the weekend you be guided through the process of making yourself a classic A-line dress or top. We will be using the Trapeze pattern from Merchant and Mill. This pattern has the option to add sleeves of different lengths, have buttons down the back or not and have at a variety of lengths. You can choose which version you wish to make depending on experience and ambition.
In this short course, you be guided through the process of making yourself a lovely pair of Bob Pants from Style Arc. Bob Pants is the perfect beginners trouser pattern. It has a universally flattering balloon/barrel style leg shape which is loose and forgiving so no nightmares with fitting.
This is a 6 session course spread over 6 Friday mornings in which you will be guided through the construction

Looking for a fun, creative, confidence building and productive activity for your crafty son/daughter this half term? This workshop is perfect for those aspiring sewers aged 10+. Each participant will make their own reversible bucket hat from upcycled or unwanted textiles (or fabric that they bring in themselves). They will be guided safely through all the processes and have fun along the way!
This course, spread over 2 days, will introduce you to sewing with stretch fabric using an overlocker and/or a stretch stitch on a normal sewing machine. Each day will be structured towards this end goal. We will be using the Appleton Dress from Cashmerette – a classic wrap dress with a choice of sleeve length. The pattern is very size inclusive and comes with ready done adjustments for different cup sizes (C – H) to avoid the gape you sometimes get with a wrap.
Looking for a fun, creative, confidence building and productive activity for your son/daughter this half term? This workshop is a perfect entry level into sewing on a sewing machine for children aged 8+ years. Each participant will make their own reversible tote bag from upcycled or unwanted textiles. They will be guided safely through all the processes and have fun along the way!
