What to expect

Fancy making your own quilt top but not sure where to start?

Over 3 sessions, join us as we work through the beautiful Buttoned Up quilt by Pen + Paper Patterns in a small, friendly and supportive group led by the experienced quilter Lisbeth from Tuesday’s Child Fabrics.

Working step by step, you will create the quilt top with guidance available throughout to help with techniques, accuracy and problem-solving. This workshop is ideal for those looking to tackle a larger patchwork project while building confidence and developing their quilting skills.

This workshop is best suited to confident beginners and improvers who are comfortable using a sewing machine and following a pattern. If you are completely new to patchwork and quilting, you may wish to attend the Introduction to Patchwork and Quilting course first to learn the core techniques  and terminology.

What’s included?

The cost includes 12 hours of guided tuition and your own copy of the Buttoned Up Quilt pattern (worth £15). It includes the use of all our equipment including sewing machines, scissors, rotary cutters etc. The price also includes a discount on items purchased from Tuesday Child’s Fabrics. Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided and readily available.

What to bring?

On booking, you will receive information about what fabrics and notions you need to bring. You may choose to bring your own quilting rulers if you have them.
