What to expect

Have you ever dreamed of making your own quilt? Or learning to patchwork? This 5 week course is the ideal starting place to learn the basics of patchworking and quilting.

Over the 5 weeks, you will learn the building blocks of patchwork and quilting; from understanding quilting terminology and achieving accurate seam allowances to piecing traditional patchwork blocks, working with half-square triangles, quilting and binding. Prior experience in using a sewing machine is useful, but not essential as there will be plenty of help on hand.

Led by the experienced quilter Lisbeth from Tuesday’s Child Fabrics, you will develop the core skills to be able to continue your quilting journey with confidence and maybe even join us for a more intermediate quilting course.

What’s included?

The cost includes 10 hours of expert tuition, the use of all our equipment including sewing machines, scissors, rotary cutters etc. The price also includes a discount on items purchased from Tuesday Child’s Fabrics. Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided and readily available.

What to bring?

On booking, you will receive information about what fabrics and notions you need to bring. You may choose to bring your own quilting rulers if you have them.
