Sewing Life Skills

This class is perfect for those who just need to learn or refresh the basics needed to look after their clothes and other textile belongings. This is a great class when going off to college or before going travelling. Equally, it is suited to those who have just never learnt the basics.

What to expect

In this class, no sewing machines are used. You will be taught:

• How to thread a needle
• How to sew on a button or press stud
• How to do a few basic stitches – starting and finishing
• How to repair a hem
• How to repair a small rip

What to bring:

You do not need to bring anything to this class! The cost of the class includes a small travel sewing kit which you will take away with you.
