What to expect:
In this short course, you be guided through the process of making yourself a lovely pair of Juno Trousers from Merchant & Mills. This pattern is for lovely culotte style trousers, featuring a fly front, front pleats, in-seam pockets and a back waistband. This is a versatile pair of trousers to take you into the winter, especially if made with corduroy or denim but equally lovely for summer if made in linen or cotton.
This course is suitable for intermediate sewers. You should have some experience of basic sewing techniques, but you will be given plenty of help, so don’t be put off! If you have never attempted a fly front, in-seam pockets or pleats, this is a great course on which to learn. You will be supported at every stage of the cutting, fitting and making. The trousers have a great universally flattering style.
After booking, you will be asked what size pattern you require. This will be printed and ready for you at the course and you will receive your own pdf version by email shortly after (unless you would prefer a paper copy).
What to bring? On booking, you will receive details on what fabric to bring (pre-washed) as well as other necessary notions. There is also a small stock of old textiles, buttons and zips at Sew Mindful if you are feeling thrifty. No need to bring your own sewing machine (unless you would prefer to).
Please note that everyone works at a different rate. We will endeavour to ensure that everyone completes their trousers within the three sessions but we cannot guarantee this.
